A Naples police officer was arrested for a DUI and resisting an officer on December 17, 2012. After being pulled over, Officer Michael Little admitted to drinking a few beers. The deputy then called for backup and Little ran away on foot. The deputy, who was a female, overpowered Little, who appeared to be going to dig in his pocket. A .25 caliber Beretta was later found in his pocket.
The amazing part of this story is, how was it that Little was not charged with a felony fleeing and eluding or felony resisting an officer after going for his gun?
